Giving Room Mag was originally founded in November 2020 by our Editor-in-Chief, Cerissa DiValentino, after she spent days brainstorming how she could create a supportive community of creatives for marginalized people. It was then our magazine baby was born. Giving Room Mag's mission stems directly from its name—we are dedicated to prioritizing BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and women creatives by creating a community we can each give room to. We like to think of our magazine as one big, cozy home with enough room for everyone and more. We're always looking to grow our home, so please feel free to take up a room and join us.
