Irina Novikova began to draw from an early age, the first subjects being fantastic birds and animals. By her first education, she is an art critic (State Academy of Slavic Cultures), by her second she is a graphic designer (MGTA). The main techniques that she uses are watercolor, ink, gouache, and acrylic. She loves experimenting and mixing different materials. She also draws a lot on environmental topics. The first big series that Irina drew was the "Red Book" dedicated to rare and endangered species of animals and birds.
